Hey everyone, I want to explain how all the music that I am going to be reviewing will be rated. I am going to have a 5 star rating system 0 stars being bad and 5 stars being awesome! The categories are going to be most of the status quot, vocals guitars, drums, production, but the most important is the lyrics. Now the lyrics are going to be analyzed by some Pastors that I know. So far I think that I am going to stick with these 7 questions all with the same 5 star rating.
1. Just from reading the lyrics can you tell that this is a christian band?
2. Can the message of the song point someone towards Christ?
3. Can you understand what the artist spiritual point is?
4. Is that point muddled or lukewarm?
5. Would these lyrics confuse a new christian?
6. Did you find the lyrics "worshipful"?
7. Solely based on the lyrics would you recommend this song to someone as an alternative to secular Heavy Metal?
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the bands actual lyrics on my blog but when I start reviewing music, a local radio station here in Greenville, NC will be playing the songs you will see here the same day and time I update the blog.
Next Tuesday night around 8:30 I will be posting again.
